International Retreat Leader

I am a life-long yogi and a practitioner of many styles, with over 20 years of practice, teaching, and study, passionate about helping people connect with their bodies, breath, and minds. Since starting Free State of Mind SUP Yoga, we have expanded from Lone Star Lake to Lake Olathe, Smithville Lake, and Lake Jacomo, hosting six public SUP Yoga classes per week during the summer months.

I teach SUP Yoga, land yoga, breathwork, meditation, and EFT, integrating pranayama and asana to release the body and create a sense of connection, freedom, and mindfulness. SUP Yoga has been my favorite way to practice humility and bring laughter and joy to the mat — much like life itself.

I spent over a decade as a student to Kelly Colln, a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) & former owner of KC Yoga Center. Later receiving my 200 hours from Kansas City Yoga Teacher Training, a collaborative effort of Kelly, Leah and Angie. Leah Morgan,  is the owner of Core Balance Yoga, & the co-creator of the Kansas City Yoga Festival. Angie Eckenroth is the owner Radiant Yoga, & the co-creator of the Kansas City Yoga Festival. I have continued my yoga study with additional certifications, becoming an International Yoga Retreat Leader. I hold E-RYT 200 Certification, SUP Yoga Certification, Trauma Informed Certification and am a Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance with 2 current courses.

I am the creator and director of four years of the Free State Yoga Festival, which hosts over a hundred students each year and experienced nearly 70% growth in 2025. I also offer Festival teachers 15 CEUs through Yoga Alliance. I have held two SUP Yoga Teacher Trainings, training seven teachers so far, led numerous kids’ camps, and trained many employees in wellness and yoga practices during their work hours. I love creating new courses and opportunities for others to expand their knowledge on all things yoga!

Free State of Mind SUP Yoga holds the copyright for Board with Yoga® branding, including our SUP Yoga trainings and kids’ camps, ensuring our unique methods and programs are protected.

Outside of yoga, I am a a mom to 3 boys, and a self-employed business consultant, specializing in business development, bookkeeping, website creation, and payment processing integrations. I help businesses streamline operations, integrate payment systems, and optimize workflows, blending my love for movement, mindfulness, and entrepreneurship.

Free State of Mind SUP Yoga is certified as a Kansas Woman Business Enterprise.
