Yoga for Neck Pain
Students may present to yoga to release the tension in their neck. Neck pain can be from repetitive movement, poor posture, holding your head in one position, or injury. The average adult human head weighs 10-12 lbs, one workday with poor posture & the neck begins to tense. This pain usually extends to your shoulders and down your back. Untreated neck pain can lead to headaches, migraines and even injury. This 10(ish) minute sequence is crafted to relives neck pain & “tech neck” by releasing muscle tension in the neck. REMINDER: Breath comes before posture, let your breath guide you deeper into your practice! Consult your doctors prior to any participation.
